Dr. Lizbeth Johnson, Gift Planner, Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest

Lizbeth Johnson is the gift planner for the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod. Her ministry is to facilitate end-of-life stewardship and good stewardship practices at the Gulf Coast Lutheran Churches.
A resident of Magnolia, Texas for many years, Liz has witnessed the rapid growth of the region. She has been a career educator and applies those skills as she works with people to show them how they can support the various ministries within their synod and throughout the greater church, maximizing their own assets at the same time. Her B.A. is from Texas State University in San Marcos, and her M.A. and Doctorate are from the University of Houston, Houston, Texas. She knows the generosity of people from her previous development work in public and private schools in the Houston area. She nurtured a foundation as a development director in her school district, Klein ISD. Dr. Johnson enjoys representing the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest, the ELCA investment for churches and worship at a different TLGC church each Sunday. Liz and her husband are active members of their home church in Woodlands, Texas. The Johnsons have been married 44 years, have one daughter in Denver and two grandchildren who bring them great joy.
